Project Description:
This project involved the construction of a new passenger-operated cableway at the Red Deer River above Panther River (Station 05CA004). The scope included erecting two modular A-frames, installing a cable system, and constructing concrete anchors on both sides of the river to support hydrological monitoring operations.
Both concrete anchors required engineered forming and rebar systems, tailored to the challenging site conditions. Accessing the far side of the river presented significant logistical challenges, necessitating the use of a mobile crane for equipment transport and a helicopter to pour the concrete for the anchor. The project was completed successfully, meeting stringent environmental and safety guidelines while ensuring the long-term functionality of the hydrometric station.
