Project Description:

This project involved the rehabilitation of the Natural Bridge and Dog Lake #2 Bridge, located within Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. The scope of work included concrete crack and patch repairs, installation of concrete pins, and approach re-grading to restore the structural integrity and safety of these critical heritage assets.

A specialized, engineered custom access system was designed by the SVEMY team to ensure the project met all environmental and public usage requirements during construction. This innovative approach facilitated safe and efficient operations while maintaining public access to trails and minimizing environmental impact. An Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) was developed and followed to comply with federal and provincial guidelines.

The project was completed on time and to the satisfaction of Parks Canada, preserving the historical and functional value of these bridges.
