Project Description:
This project involved the construction of a new passenger-operated cableway at the Castle River hydrometric monitoring station (Station 05AA022) near Beaver Mines. SVEMY Construction successfully installed two triple steel plate anchor systems, erected modular A-frames, and integrated a new cableway system, which included steel wire ropes, tieback cables, and a USGS light-duty cable car to support hydrological data collection.
The remote and rugged site conditions posed logistical challenges, requiring strategic planning and careful coordination to transport materials and equipment to both banks. Despite these obstacles, the project was completed efficiently, adhering to stringent environmental and safety standards. The newly installed cableway system ensures the long-term reliability and operational efficiency of hydrological monitoring in the region.
