Project Description:

This project involved the successful completion of a transit shelter in Lake Louise following the failure of the initial contractor. SVEMY Construction implemented an innovative design-build approach, utilizing the existing concrete footings and a GlueLam beam timber package to create a structurally sound and aesthetically fitting shelter. Designed to accommodate high visitor traffic while complementing the natural surroundings, the new transit shelter now serves as an essential infrastructure for tourists exploring the region. Through strategic problem-solving and efficient execution, the project was delivered to the full satisfaction of Parks Canada, ensuring both durability and architectural harmony in this iconic location.
